Highland’s 10 Junior Legion All Stars help Illinois win

The Highland Junior American Legion Post 439 baseball program was represented by 10 total boys, five from each of its two teams, Junior Legion 1 and Junior Legion 2, in the American Legion Baseball All-Star Game Monday, June 26 at GCS Ballpark in Sauget. The Highland boys helped the Illinois District 22 Junior Legion All Stars defeat their Missouri District 10 Legion counterparts 11-4. The Highland All Stars were, front row from left, Jack Korte, an infielder/pitcher for Highland Junior 2; Dylan Knebel, a catcher/outfielder for Highland Junior 1; Colten Knebel, a third baseman/pitcher for Highland Junior 1; Jonathan Dickman, an outfielder for Highland Junior 1; back row, Paul Kampwerth, an infielder/pitcher for Highland Junior 2; Carter Wiegman, a catcher for Highland Junior 2; Kolby Frey, an infielder for Highland Junior 2; Ben Bruchhauser, a catcher for Highland Junior 2; Ross Spies, an infielder for Highland Junior 1; and Griffin Frahm, an outfielder/pitcher for Highland Junior 1.
