College Track: HHS grad breaks records, receives Scholar-Athlete Award

St. Louis College of Pharmacy (STLCOP) junior student-athlete Jamie Hundsdorfer, a Highland native, was named to the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Academic All-Conference Team for women’s track and field in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

To be eligible for the award, athletes must maintain a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average and be in at least their second term of attendance as a varsity intercollegiate athlete. Hundsdorfer ran her third year of track and field for the Eutectics and completed her first year of the professional pharmacy program at STLCOP.

During the indoor track and field season, Hundsdorfer broke the STLCOP record for the 500-meter dash with a time of 1:33.21. In addition, she was part of the record-setting 4 x 400, 4 x 800, and distance-medley relay teams.

Hundsdorfer is the daughter of Kris and Eric Hundsdorfer of Highland. She is a 2012 graduate of Highland High School where she ran cross country and track.
