Registration ongoing for state softball tourney in Highland

It’s not too late to sign up for the summer statewide softball tournament, which will be held June 25 and 26 in Highland at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Each team only requires 50 percent Knights of Columbus membership. If you cannot organize or play on a team, volunteers are being sought to run food and drink stands.

It is a double-elimination tournament, and the entry fee per team is $175. Amateur Softball Association (ASA) rules apply, and only ASA-sanctioned bats are allowed. The ASA balls and ASA umpires are provided. There is a mercy run rule.
