O’Fallon Garden Club sale

The O’Fallon Garden Club is hosting a plant sale and craft sale from 4-7 p.m. at Fezziwig’s Marketplace located at 225 West First St. in downtown O’Fallon.

K of C Fish Fry

The O’Fallon Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary continue to sponsor a weekly fish fry with lunch available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and for dinner from 4-8 p.m every Friday at the K of C Hall, located at 402 E. Highway 50, across from the Community Park. The traditional menu of cod and tilapia will be available, along with hamburgers, hot dogs and additional side dishes. Movie night at the Sports Park

Plant Sale and Craft Show

The O’Fallon Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale and craft show from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sept. 24. The sale will be held at the corner of Highway 50 and Lincoln Avenue. Lions Club wood smoked BBQ

The O’Fallon-Fairview Heights Lions Club will hold its semi-annual wood smoked BBQ on South View Plaza from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24. Pork steaks, brats, hamburger and hot dog plates with a choice of two sides including potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans or apple sauce. Sandwiches can be served as well. A variety of sodas or water will also be available for purchase.

Dysart Family to hold local concert

The Dysart Family will present a concert at 7 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 24, at Faith Lutheran Church, 520 E. Highway 50, O’Fallon. The Dysart Family is known for fine southern Gospel music. Bowl-A-Thon

St. Clair Bowl in Fairview Heights is hosting a Bowl-A-Thon starting at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 30. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit the Special Olympics. The event is sponsored by the O’Fallon Police Department and includes a 50/50 raffle, wheelbarrow of booze and attendance prizes. John Wilt Foundation honor run/walk

The John Wilt Foundation 5K honor run/walk will take place on Oct. 1. The run/walk, stepping off from the O’Fallon Veterans’ Monument, will start at 8 a.m. The event honors 1st Lt. John Wilt. Child seat safety checks

The O’Fallon Public Safety Department Emergency Medical Service Division will have Certified Child Passenger Safety technicians available to assist with the proper installation of child car or booster seats from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 1 at First Baptist Church of O’Fallon, located at 1111 E. Hooray for Hollywood Funfest

Hooray for Hollywood Funfest will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 1 at Faith Lutheran Church in O’Fallon. The evening will feature a fried chicken dinner complete with sides and dessert, movie music by Faithful Flutes, Kie & Wayland, and Pastor Bob on accordion. There will also be games for all ages, and a movie costume parade for all ages featuring G-rated costumes from movies starting at 6:30 p.m. A freewill donation for the dinner will be given to BABYTalk, formerly Parents as Teachers. O’Fallon Police Department, in cooperation with the O’Fallon Neighborhood Watch Program, will be hosting a National Night Out event from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the O’Fallon Community Park, 401 E. Fifth St. Several activities are planned including, static displays of fire, emergency medical service and police vehicles and equipment; 911 education; K-9 demonstrations and refreshments. O’Fallon Garden Club monthly meeting

The O’Fallon Garden Club will have its next monthly meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m., with a social period beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 4 in the Rock Springs Park log cabin at 1428 E. Columbus Day Kids Fun Run

The Knight of Columbus will sponsor the 25th Annual Columbus Day Kids Run for Special Olympics starting at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 10 at the O’Fallon Community Park. Sign up at the K of C Hall at 402 East Highway 50 in O’Fallon across from the park. Sign up in advance or at least by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the event at the K of C Hall. All participants must be registered by 10:30 a.m. on run day. Cost is $10 per runner and the first 100 to sign-up receive a race day T-shirt. VFW sponsors first-ever BaconFest

The Sgt. Charles A. Fricke VFW Post 805 and Post 805 Auxiliary will be hosting the first-ever BaconFest on Saturday, Oct. 15. The BaconFest will raise funds for Relief Funds that help veterans and help promote community businesses. Event organizers are looking for individuals, organizations, and businesses that would like to be vendors. Events organizers are also looking to make this family friendly. OTHS Cheer Camp

The O’Fallon Township High School Cheerleaders for Kid’s Camp are hosting a cheer camp from noon to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15 at the OTHS Milburn campus located at 650 Milburn School Rd. in O’Fallon. The camp will focus of motions and cheers; jumps; and, stunts and tumbling. Snacks and drinks will be provided and a parent performance will conclude the camp. Campers are encouraged to wear athletic clothing, tennis shoes and have their hair up in a ponytail (if applicable). The cost is $30 per child, and $25 for each additional sibling. Veteran’s Day Parade

For more than 30 years the Sgt. Charles A. Fricke VFW Post 805 and the Post 805 Auxiliary has hosted O’Fallon’s annual Veteran’s Day parade. This year it is slated to begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11. Parade line up is at 12:30 p.m. at the O’Fallon Community Park on the corner of Fifth and Park Streets at the Katy Cavins Community Center.
