The O’Fallon Youth Committee is looking for new members to support the youth of O’Fallon Township.
The youth members have an opportunity to be a part of an organization that supports the community’s youth. They are the decision makers on how and when donations are made and what activities in which they would like to participate. Community service and volunteering to be a part of a committee, like the O’Fallon Youth Committee, is a plus on a college resume.
The youth committee sponsors an annual fishing derby, Christmas caroling, and taking a senior citizen to a Cardinal baseball game. They also serve as runners for the O’Fallon Garden Club Trivia Night and the O’Fallon Parks and Rec Fall Festival. The committee has made donations to the OTHS Robotics Club, the OTHS Blizzard, the OTHS Girls softball, the American Legion Boy’s State program, and the American Legion Girls State Program.
The committee meets once a month, on the third Monday of the month, at the O’Fallon Township Building, 801 E. State St. Meetings last about 20-30 minutes. To be a member of the youth committee, you need to be high school age and live in O’Fallon Township High School District 203 school district.
