Thursday, Feb. 10

National Alliance on Mental Illness Southwestern Illinois (NAMI SWI) — 7-8:30 p.m. Online via Zoom. Virtual support meetings for family members and other caregivers of individuals with mental illness. Meetings are peer-led and rely on the knowledge and experiences of the group to help one another. The O’Fallon Moose Lodge 2608 presented a $1,000 donation to LaVerna Evans School to fund resources for students in the kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms. Proceeds from the monthly Moose barbecues — which take place the third Saturday of the month — are used for donations to community groups. The next barbecue is Saturday, Feb. 19, at the American Legion Hall in O’Fallon, 109 N. Penn St.

‘Cram the Car’ Food Drive — 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, main entrance canopy, O’Fallon. In recognition of February being National Canned Food Month, HSHS Home Care Illinois is holding their annual “Cram the Car” food drive this month for the Catholic Urban Program food pantry to help those struggling with food insecurity. Deadline for Inclusion on O’Fallon Veterans’ Monument for Memorial Day — Monday, Feb. 28. All honorably discharged veterans who lived in O’Fallon School District #203 at any point in their life are eligible for inclusion on the monument. The Memorial Day dedication will take place Monday, May 30. O’Fallon Garden Club 2021-2022 Scholarship — Now through Tuesday, March 1. Online at ofallongardenclub.org. The O’Fallon Garden Club is now accepting applications for the 2021-2022 scholarship. Applications must be residents of O’Fallon or Shiloh, or are currently attending or have graduated from O’Fallon Township High School. The application deadline is March 1. Memorial Auxiliary Hospital is accepting books, sheet music, DVDs, CDs and cookbooks for their 2022 Book Bazaar. Books are accepted 8-11 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday through March 17 and 8-11 a.m. on the the first and third Saturdays of the month through March 17. Books need to be dropped off at the Auxiliary warehouse at the Annex, located on the southeast corner behind the hospital.
