O'Fallon Progress

Around Town

On Dec. 8, the Comrades and Auxiliary of Sgt Charles A Fricke VFW Post 805 of O’Fallon hosted a holiday dinner for veterans and their spouses who live in local nursing and assisted living homes. These dinners have been a huge hit with everyone who has been involved with them in the past and this time was no different. The conversations between the hosts and attendees and the time spent together are priceless. This year’s attendance numbered over 70 people. The O’Fallon Hockey Club helped serve the seniors and enjoyed talking with them as well. Thanks to those from the Post who were able to help, and those that were able to attend: Fountains of Shiloh, Cedarhurst of Shiloh, Cedars of Lebanon, O’Fallon Senior Apartments, O’Fallon Hockey Club (O’Fallon High School varsity and JV players and their families). A special thanks to The Happy Bakery in O’Fallon for their generous donation of some amazing desserts. Thanks also to Archbishop Hartley of Good Shepard in Belleville for attending and saying the prayer. Happy Holidays and New Year to everyone.
