Fulton kicks off its annual soda tab drive

Attention O’Fallon sixth and seventh grade boys. This summer’s Carriel/Fulton Boys’ Baseball Camp will be held July 25-28 at the O’Fallon Sports Complex. Cost is $70 per person, and includes a camp T-shirt if your application form and money are turned in by the May 1 deadline. Pick up a form in the office if you’re interested in attending.
The Fulton Junior High Student Council kicked off its annual soda tab collection. Tabs are now being collected in advisory classes, with the winning class being announced on April 12. All tabs will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. The class with the most tabs, by weight, will win a pizza party.
The O’Fallon Middle School tennis season starts on March 31.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets Wednesday, March 30, from 6-7:30 p.m.

The O’Fallon Panther Band Boosters Organization will hold a trivia night Saturday, April 2 at the O’Fallon Knights of Columbus Hall. Doors open at 6:30 with a 7 p.m. start. The OTHS Tennis program will be offering its annual Middle School Tennis Camp for students in sixth-eighth grades. Cost is $50. The camp runs on Thursdays (6-7 p.m.) from March 31-May 19. Pick up a flyer in the Office if you’re interested.
St. Clare
Maddie Wade attended the next level of the NIE Spelling Bee at McKendree University.
The St. Clare chess team recently participated in the Diocesan Chess Tournament. Twenty-three students from St. Clare played in the tournament. The team finished the tournament with a winning match record (44-43-2), placing fifth out of eight teams and were half a point from fourth. Kellen Barackman, Nash Johaningmeyer, Braden Buck, Owen Buchheit, Aidan Kelly, Julia Nugent and Michael Urbanski had a 3-1 record, Keller Maher and Andrew Hong had a 2-1-1 record and Jack Toennies and Cecilia McCarthy had a 2-1 record. They will be wrapping up the season with a St. Clare only tournament April 30.
A number of St. Clare students recently participated in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade Science Olympiads at Althoff High School. Fifth and sixth grade participants were Madison Brennan, Sean Chaffee, Connor Chapple, Tia Golder, Natalie Hale, Hennace Herran, Ben Hug, Lily Kampwerth, Ava Pace, Evan Rybak, Julia Whitworth, Andrew Hong, Eli Butters and Jake Guerrero.
Congratulations to Elizabeth Henken, Sophie Hertzler, Kate Macaluso and Briana McMinn who finished all in first place.
Ryan Clancy, Curt Stutsman, Connor Vargo, and Will Vargo finished the tourney in third..
The regular Scholar Bowl season is over and the team ended the season with a record of 27 wins and 9 losses.
Sean Chaffee, Kiley McMinn, Brandon Reed, Chloe Davidson, Anna Flath, Olivia Fults, Zaim Khan, Claire Rineberg, Alex Buchheit and Luke Sheerin participated in the recent Southwestern Illinois College Science Fair.
