Shiloh to hold E-Waste recycling day

Bzzzzz...Members of the O'Fallon Community Garden Club Jim Harper, John Brundage, and David Paeth prepare the apiary for the spring. The beekeepers removed winter insulation and quilt boxes that help the bees survive the winter. They also installed queen excluders and honey supers that will allow them to collect and extract honey to be bottled. This is the 1st year all three of there hives will be producing honey and they hope their first harvest will be in June or July.

O’Fallon Township will hold their monthly Rummage Sale from 7 a.m. until noon, at the O’Fallon Township Building, 801 E. State St. in O’Fallon. Men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, plus household items will be for sale at the rummage sale.

Church-wide yard sale

37th annual Fiddle Contest and Bluegrass Show

George Portz of Shiloh is hosting his 37th annual Fiddle Contest and Bluegrass Show at the O’Fallon Knights of Columbus, 402 E. Highway 50, on Saturday, April 9. The Thunder and Lightening Cloggers and Harmonica Champion Matt McElroy will open the show at 5 p.m. The fiddler contest begins at 6 p.m. A full bluegrass and country show, featuring Friends of Bluegrass, starts at 8:30 p.m. Full dinners, sandwiches and deserts are served all evening. Community Outreach Fundraiser April 10

St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in O'Fallon will be having a very special fund drive at McAlister’s Deli in Green Mount Plaza (Dierberg’s) located at 3234 Green Mount Crossing Drive from 5-8 p.m. All contributions received by St. Michael's will be used to fund its community outreach projects, such as the O'Fallon Feed My Lambs summer lunch program (for children on the school lunch program during the school year), O'Fallon Food Pantry, O'Fallon Fire Fighters dinners and Belleville Christian Center dinners.

Free Monday night community meals

Free hot meals will be served restaurant-style each Monday night in April at Faith Lutheran Church, 510 East Highway 50 in O’Fallon. Marty from “Birds Unlimited” will share secrets for attracting your favorite birds to your backyard along with other important information about our feathered friends.
