Salute to Business Awards
The O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce and the O’Fallon Progress will co-host the Salute to Business Awards honoring businesses that have made a particularly positive impact in the community at a luncheon on Thursday, April 14, at the Regency Conference Center, 400 Regency Dr., O’Fallon. Registration starts at 11:15 a.m. The program begins at 11:45 a.m. This is the Chamber’s 40th annual awards luncheon. O’Fallon Toastmasters to meet
O’Fallon Toastmasters will meet at 7 p.m. in the Community Financial Center, 800 South Lincoln (corner of Highway 50 and Lincoln Avenue in O'Fallon).

The O’Fallon Public Library will hold an open house from 1-5 p.m. to celebrate the completion of its renovation and remodeling project. Tours and refreshments will be provided. Dedication begins at 2 p.m.

Free Monday night community meals
Free hot meals will be served restaurant-style each Monday night in April at Faith Lutheran Church, 510 East Highway 50 in O’Fallon. Ward 3 meeting
O'Fallon Ward 3 Aldermen Kevin Hagarty and Jerry Mouser will hold a town hall meeting for Ward 3 residents at 6:30 p.m. on April 19 at O'Fallon City Hall located at 255 South Lincoln Ave. St. Clair County Board member John West will give a presentation on property taxes.

Band Boosters Yard Sale
The O’Fallon Township High School Band Boosters will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at OTHS’ South Gym, on 600 S. Smiley St. in O’Fallon. Please drop off donations at the South Gym (main entrance) on Friday, April 22, between 4:30 and 8 P.M. Friday or contact Lisa Walters (call/text 618-578-9644,or email mljaw@att.net) to schedule a pick-up for large or bulky items. All proceeds will benefit the OTHS Band Program.

Cambridge House
Entertainment is slated from 2-4 p.m, for the Cambridge House Assisted Living Community open house with a jazz theme. Tours and information will be available for interested individuals to take a closer look at the entire apartment community at 844 Cambridge Blvd. in O’Fallon. O’Fallon Dania Shrine Club
The O’Fallon Dania Shrine Club will be holding their annual fundraiser the Pre-Derby Horse Race Night. Doors open at 6 p.m. with races beginning at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 30 at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 5420 Old Collinsville Road in O’Fallon. Draft beer and soft drinks provided. We will also have a cash bar and food available for purchase. The cost of the event is $20 individually or tables of 10 available for reservation. Contact the below individuals if you would like to sponsor a race for $250, or sponsor a horse for $100 race, and horses are still available. There will be silent and live auctions with many items to choose from. As this event is a week before the Kentucky Derby, we will be having a bonnet contest for the ladies, so wear your bonnet and win one of the prizes. Net proceeds will be used for Shriner’s Charities and our building restoration fund. Faith Lutheran Church Concert series
Faith Lutheran Church Concert series presents Chapter 6 Vocal Band Concert at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 30 at Faith Lutheran Church located at 520 E Hwy 50 in O'Fallon. This a cappella group presents an energetic show featuring tight harmonies and vocal fireworks. Freewill offerings will be taken and refreshments will be served following the performance. Educational workshop
Ever wondered what in the world to do with a child? Not because they are a bad child or even a defiant child, but because there is something maybe a little different and little bit more challenging about this child. Faith Lutheran Church is offering a free educational opportunity for those interacting with challenging children at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome and we encourage you to bring questions. Kris Fulkerson, LCSW, MS Clinical Director for HeartlinksGrief Center and Owner/Counselor for Coping 4 Kids willpresent strategies, skills and tools for those dealing witha challenging child. She will also explore how to get started if your child doesn't have a diagnosis, but you suspect they might have a mental health issue.
O’Fallon Garden Club
The O’Fallon Garden Club will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 3 at Rock Springs Park cabin, located at 1428 E. Third Street. Guest speaker Leo Welch will present ‘Plants that change the world,’ for members and guests to learn which plants pay the important role in our food and medical production, as well as understanding of their impact on society. O’Fallon Township High School (OTHS) welcomes Molly Venzke, of Seattle, Wash., author of ‘Caged No More,’ a book about human trafficking that was later made into a movie. Venzke will be presenting Fri., May 6 several times at the OTHS Smiley and Milburn campuses to bring awareness and education to the students about human trafficking, how to recognize it, and most importantly, how to prevent it. Later that evening, O’Fallon Public Library is sponsoring a community-wide question and answer event at the Milburn campus as well.

O’Fallon Garden Club
The O'Fallon Garden Club's annual spring plant sale is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, May 7 at the intersection of Highway 50 and Lincoln Avenue. The club is offering variety of plants ranging from sun and shade perennials, annuals, herbs and vegetables, plus garden-themed craft items. Food Pantry Golf Scramble
The 20th Annual Pete MacLaughlin Memorial Food Pantry Golf Scramble will begin with check in at noon, and tee off at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 22. The event will be held at The Hills Golf Club at McKendree University in Lebanon. Cost is $65. The scramble will be followed by a meal, prizes and auction.
