Obituary — Elaine Huffman

Elaine M. (Jones) Huffman, 74, of O’Fallon, Ill., died April 16, 2016.

A celebration of life and memorial visitation will be on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 4-8:00 p.m. at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 S. Lincoln Ave. O’Fallon, Ill.

Elaine was born on Nov. 12, 1941, to James M. and Marie Petersenin Jones Jr. in Mobile, Ala.

She was a retired seamstress for Miss Elaine Garment Factory. She was a former member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Mobile, Ala.

Elaine enjoyed attending flea markets, antiquing, traveling and visiting her grandchildren, along with spending time with her dog, Mini Mae.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Jamie Groves-Cox.

Elaine is survived by her husband: Herman (Sonny) P. Huffman of O’Fallon, Ill.; one daughter, Edie (Nicholas) Carter of Watertown, N.Y.; one son, Travis (Patty) Huffman of New Athens, Ill.; son-in-law, Rob Cox of Belleville, Mich.; three grandchildren, Taylor A. Buecher of Bloomington, Ill.; Baylee E. Groves of Dupo, Ill., and Zachary L. Carter of Watertown, N.Y.; along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
