The Illinois Department of Transportation has extended overnight lane reductions along Interstate 64 between Illinois 157 and Green Mount Road, the agency said.

Lane reductions are planned between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. to place pavement markings within the project area, IDOT said. The work is expected to be completed by June, weather permitting. Work was previously extended because of contractor equipment issues.

The agency said motorists should reduce speed and obey all warning signs when traveling through the work zone.
