Metro-east Pachyderms
The Metro-East Pachyderms is hosting a meeting at 6 p.m. at Amore’ Restaurant, located at 1030 Eastgate Drive in O’Fallon. Ron Duebbert, a Republican candidate for circuit judge in St. Clair County will be the guest speaker. For more information call Karen Rees at 334-3799. If you would like to enjoy dinner during the meeting, members arrive at about 5:30 p.m. to make an order prior to the meeting.

O’Fallon Fish Fry
The O’Fallon Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary continue to sponsor a weekly fish fry from 4-8 p.m. every Friday at the K of C Hall, located at 402 E. Hwy 50, across from the Community Park. The traditional menu of cod and tilapia will be available, along with hamburgers, hot dogs and additional side dishes. Baked cod has also been added to the menu. Dine in or carry out is available. Orders can be called in at 632-6229, and we now take credit cards. Lunch is also available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Fridays.

Frierdich Fireworks show
From 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Three Springs Park in Shiloh, Frierdich Fireworks is having a free fireworks display to honor and celebrate our United States Military members. Three Springs Park is located at 2250 Frank Scott Parkway East in Shiloh. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and/or blankets.

O’Fallon Garden Club
The O’Fallon Garden Club is holding it’s monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5 at Rock Spring’s Park at 1428 East Third Street in O’Fallon. A social period will begin at 6 p.m. for interested individuals wanting to get to know club members better. The program includes an instructional lecture on ‘Intro to Fermentation of Vegetables.’ This will allow attendees to learn about another alternative to canning or freezing because fermentation is another way to preserve food, as well as supplies needed and a few recipes shared with cabbage and other veggies. Senior Citizens Club
The Senior Citizens Club of O’Fallon is hosting its Picnic, which will include regular business and entertainment starting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 6 at the O’Fallon Township Building located at 801 East State Street. Fontebella Golf Classic
Fontebella Maternity Home of O’Fallon is having its Second Annual Golf Classic to raise money for the wmen who come to Fontebella facing pregnancy without a safe place to go. Fontebella is a 501, C-3 nonprofit organization. At 1 p.m. the foursome golf scramble will begin at Stonewolf Golf Club located at 1195 Stonewolfe Trail in Fairview Heights. Raffles, prizes and contests available. On a Jack Nicklaus signature course, the cost is $100 per golfer, which includes green fees, a cart, dinner and two drink tickets. ‘Music of the Night’ 5K Fun Run/Walk
Registration is now open for this unique, music themed night race, sponsored by Lifelong Music in O’Fallon Schools, and benefiting music education in O’Fallon. The race will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, beginning and ending at Carriel Junior High School. Register before July 25 to guarantee your race shirt. Cost is $25 for a 50/50 blend race shirt, or $27 for a dri-fit shirt — both with reflective details — $30 on race day (shirts not guaranteed). Trophies to top three overall, men and women; medals to top three male and female in eight different age groups, plus attendance prizes. Timing by Toolen's Running Start will be provided.
