Let’s unite to provide to protect the children of our future
Dear Editor,
I have taken my grandson to school at Estelle Kampmeyer School and picked him up and the amount of traffic during these times is considerable.
There are not only parents picking up children ,but I have seen many trucks coming from Seven Hills Road going to Lincoln passing at the time the children are getting out of school.
Many times the children are running to meet the people that are picking them up.
Due to the age of the children , the crossing guards are a protection for our children and a deterrent to other vehicles that are not picking up children.
I believe that parents and families can provide their time to protect our children if the liability and funding is an issue for the school district.
This should not be a police issue as they have our city to protect.
Let's unite to provide the proper amount of safety for all the children involved.
