Metro-east bank robbed, search for suspect is ongoing
Shiloh police say a man robbed the First Bank location inside the Dierberg’s grocery store at 4040 Green Mount Crossing Drive in Shiloh Thursday afternoon.
According to a police statement, a white man with short brown hair entered the bank at 1:17 p.m. and handed a teller a note announcing a robbery and demanding cash. No weapons were implied or brandished at the scene.
The teller complied with the man’s request. No one in the bank was hurt.
The man, who stands about 5-foot-11 and who wore a long sleeve blue shirt and blue pants, left the bank on foot before leaving the shopping center in a silver car.
Shiloh and O’Fallon officers searched the shopping center for the suspect without success. Shiloh police are offering a $500 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect.
