Kunkel and Lammers purchase Cecil Management Group
Dave Kunkel and Terry Lammers purchased Cecil Management Group, Inc. from Dorcas Cecil.
Cecil Management Group is one of the largest residential property management companies in the metro-east and currently manages approximately 900 residential properties and 60 homeowners associations encompassing around 4,500 households, with an office staff of 13 and a crew of five maintenance technicians.
Cecil Management Group is now co-owned by Innovative President, Terry Lammers, Kunkel President, Dave Kunkel, and Matt Cecil, Dorcas’ son.
Since the October purchase, the office has been moved to a larger facility at 784 Wall Street in O’Fallon, adjacent to Innovative Business Advisors and Kunkel Commercial Group for ease of day-to- day operations.
The business has also been streamlined to a paperless office to improve efficiency. A rebranding campaign has been launched featuring a new logo for the company.
Operated by Dorcas Cecil over the last 35 years, Cecil Management Group has steadily grown in St. Clair and Madison County.
Terry Lammers, president of Innovative Business Advisors and co-owner of Cecil Management Group, said they are excited about the oppportunity.
“Dave Kunkel and I look forward to growing what Dorcas Cecil has successfully built over the last 35 plus years,” he said.
The new co-owners plan to continue to grow the Company and expand on past successes.
The strategic purchase allows Kunkel’s commercial properties to benefit from five maintenance technicians and paves the way for an eventual merger of the commercial and
residential property management aspects of both companies.
Currently, Cecil Management Group manages single-family homes, multi-unit apartments, duplexes, and homeowners associations (HOAs).
