SAFB TOP 3 GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Scott Air Force Base Top 3 welcomes people to play in their annual golf tournament Aug. 25 at the Cardinal Creek Golf Course at Scott AFB. The tournament will be a four-person team scramble/select shot format, with registration at 7 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Tournament fees are $55/person $40/eagle and premier members. The price includes green fees, lunch, and the opportunity to win door prizes. Proceeds from this tournament will directly benefit Scott AFB enlisted professional development opportunities. SPIRITUAL RETREAT
The Scott AFB Chapel invites everyone to a family retreat at the YMCA Trout Lodge. Provided: Lodging, meals, most activities and transportation. Event includes four seminars and plenty of free time and activities: Zip lines, horse-back riding/lake-front water availability). Optional Protestant worship service Sunday morning.

COMMUNITY PICNIC
On Aug. 27, the Scott Chapel will host a Catholic community picnic at 10:30 a.m. after the 9:30 a.m. mass. Everyone is welcome to join.

RETIREE APPRECIATION DAYS SCHEDULED
Fort Leonard Wood is hosting the 38th annual Retiree Appreciation Days for all military connected veterans, their spouses, and annuitant’s. This event will take place Sept. 8-9, and is open to all military retirees, their spouses, and annuitant’s. BEREDA CANDLELIGHT 5K RUN/WALK
A candlelight 5K run/walk to celebrate the lives of Brennen and Finley Bereda will take place from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 22 at Rock Springs Park in O’Fallon, 1428 E. 3rd St. Registration is not required, as the 5K is free.
The 5K will be followed by: Lighting of luminaries, prayer led by St. Clare Church Deacon, local country pop star Coy Taylor singing “God, Your Mama, & Me,” food and fellowship. Parking is available at the park, on the street, and at the First Baptist Church of O’Fallon.
