Scott Inn cuts ribbon on new lodging center

The new Scott Inn has completed construction at Scott Air Force Base. Builders broke ground on the facility March 11, 2016, and the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony took place Jan. 18. The Korte Company was the general contractor who built the visitor’s quarters under contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. More recently, Korte-River City JV of Highland was the successful bidder on a $113 million contract to renovate Building 1600, which houses the U.S. Air Force Mobility Command Headquarters at the base.

A ribbon cutting for the new Scott Inn at Scott Air Force Base took place Jan. 18.

Builders broke ground on the facility March 11, 2016, and the grand opening took place Jan. 18, 2018.

The new 6-story visitor’s center features 284 rooms and 17 suites.

Additionally, the rooms at Scott Inn feature cable televisions, Wi-Fi, refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, ironing boards, and irons.

Rickenbacker’s Coffee Shop is one of the inn’s new features, along with an exercise room and two conference rooms.
