Joint force members from six bases performed static-line and free-fall jumps over the Scott AFB drop zone July 18. The Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape specialists execute this training to maintain their readiness.
The 375th Operations Support Squadron created the drop zone to increase the readiness of units in and around Scott AFB and for use by flying or ground units who need a place to hone their combat skills.
These jumps give Scott AFB personnel and airlift crews practical, live training on how to safely and effectively execute jump operations.
