Airman 1st Class Kristin Savage, a broadcaster with the 375th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs office, is this week’s Showcase Airman. Savage excels in a fast-paced, high-visible environment producing Public Affairs products viewed by tens-of-thousands of people.

In May, she acted as the technical advisor for an 18th Air Force media engagement, using her knowledge of audio and lighting techniques to facilitate a video interview between a Knoxville, Tennessee, reporter and an Air National Guard colonel seen by more than 136,000 viewers.

She was recognized by the 375th Operations Support Squadron commander for her role in the production of a 375th OSS video outlining innovations leading to the unit’s success with rising air traffic. Additionally, Savage volunteers on Scott AFB and in local community organizations, including the Spring Fling organizational committee, as publicity chairman for the Scott Spouses Club and with her church as a Sunday School teacher.

Savage is consistently the first to volunteer for new or difficult assignments, outperforms her peers at unit PT sessions and provides a positive representation of Team Scott to civic leaders and base leadership.
