Airman 1st Class Javy Delgado, 375th Communications Squadron, is this week’s Showcase Airman. Delgado consistently shows the drive and motivation of a seasoned NCO and is always pushing for more responsibility.

Within his second week in the 375th CSS, he became one one of three 3F5s on base to gain MilPDS access, increasing production by 33 percent. Next, Delgado automated the additional duty tracking program for the squadron, creating automated emails based on letters when letters are near an expiration date. His efforts will cut 120 management hours per year across 65 squadron and group programs.

Additionally, Delgado stepped in as the squadron Ancillary Training Manager, creating squadron recurring training rotation for squadron and Air Force level training requirements. This provides opportunities for 233 members to remain up-to-date. Furthermore, he completed six credit hours towards medical degree used to enhance SABC training. This cut SABC write-ups from nine to zero.

Finally, Delgado is motivated to help others, dedicating nine hours a week as a run clinic instructor. His efforts helped improve 61 members’ run times by an average of one minute per mile.
