HARVEST A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
Healthcare 2 Health, Health Promotion and DeCA have partnered to bring you the Harvest a Healthy Lifestyle event from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. July 15 at the Scott AFB Commissary. Join in a Harvest a Healthy Lifestyle scavenger hunt to win a beautiful reusable grocery tote filled with free samples and health tips. 2016 NAVY BALL GOLF TOURNAMENT
The 2016 Navy Ball Golf Tournament will be held July 15 at The Orchards in Belleville. Lunch begins at noon with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Format will be 4-man scramble. Cost will be $70 for E-7 and above, $60 for E-6 and below. Fee includes round of golf with cart, range balls, lunch, T-shirt, and goodie bag. Prizes for top three teams, male/female closest to pin, and male/female longest drive. The event also will feature a silent auction (items include sporting event tickets, signed Blues, Colts, Bears, and Blackhawks memorabilia, gift cards and much more).

BASE-WIDE YARD SALE
It’s yard sale time. Sign-up to sell or come take a look around at the next Base Wide Yard Sale from 8 a.m.-noon July 16 held outside at the ALS Picnic Pavilion. The cost is $15, which includes one display table, two chairs, set-up/break down of display area … all profits are yours. Deadline to sign-up is noon July 15. R4R—SINGLE AIRMAN INITIATIVE
Join the Outdoor Adventure Program on a fun two-day Single Airmen Initiative Overnight Hike, Camp & Float trip July 16-17 in Missouri. The first day includes a moderate 12.5 mile hike starting at Onondoga trailhead of the Courtois section of the Ozark Trail, followed by an evening barbecue at Bass River Resorts with tent or hammock camping along the Meramec River. The following morning begins with breakfast buffet, followed by a relaxing 12-mile canoe back to the bus. Appropriate attire/footwear required, also bring day pack, two trail lunches, water, and overnight backpacking supplies. Bring your own gear or rent from Outdoor Recreation. Adventure is open to ages 14+. Adventure fee: $75. SAIP Adventure fee: $30. Buses will depart Outdoor Recreation, Bldg. 3176, at 6 a.m. July 16, returning around 9 p.m. July 17. Registration required. Trip strenuous level: 5/5, hiking with packs, rugged terrain, high mileage, creek crossings, river canoeing. COLLEGE BOUND
The Education Office will host a College Bound seminar for active duty military, dependents or civilians interested in returning to college from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. July 20-21 in the Education and Training Center, Bldg. 1650, room 68 (next to Starbucks and Burger King). This is a two-day interactive seminar that focuses on choosing a degree, selecting a college, GI Bill benefits, Air Force tuition assistance, and applying for federal aid and scholarships. Laptops will be available, but feel free to bring your own and take advantage of our free WiFi here in the Education Center. Sign-up is required as seating is limited. SAFB NCO COUNCIL GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Scott NCO Council welcomes people to play in their Annual Golf Tournament July 22 at the Cardinal Creek Golf Course at Scott AFB. The tournament will be a 4-person team scramble/select shot format, with registration at 7 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Tournament fees are $50 per person, which includes greens fee, lunch, drinks and the opportunity to win door prizes. This year’s tournament is dedicated to the memory of Tech. Sgt. Nicholas Kruse-Wright, a treasured member of the CMSAF Bud Andrews Leadership School Staff. PHARMACY SERVICE CHANGES
The Main Pharmacy at the Scott Air Force Base Clinic now is filling and dispensing all new prescriptions. These prescriptions include: Off-base, Civilian Handwritten, Electronic Prescriptions, Scott Family Health Clinic, Belleville Family Medicine Clinic, and Provider Order Entry Prescriptions. Call-in refills will not change and will continue to be picked up at the satellite pharmacy. If you have any questions please call 256-7345 or ask one of the pharmacy staff.

A Lean In Circle has started at Scott. The mentoring group is designed to empower women to achieve their ambitions.
