Police ID, search for man they suspect of stealing 120 Red Bulls from Caseyville store
Caseyville Police identified and were searching for a man Thursday who is suspected of stealing at least 120 energy drinks from a store in July.
On Thursday, police identified John A. Finley, 35, as the suspect in the retails thefts. Finley was charged but had not been arrested as of Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Finley is suspected of stealing about 30 4-packs of Red Bull from the store during three separate trips on July 11 and July 12. During one trip, surveillance shows the man shoving eleven 4-packs of Red Bull in his pants.
Later that day, police say the man returned and took eight more 4-packs of Red Bull after he paid for gas.
The next day, according to police, the man took about 11 more 4-packs of Red Bull from the store, which was not identified.
Finley was driving a tan or gold Ford Focus that apparently has an Illinois license plate, police said. The only tire on the car that has a hubcap is on the front driver’s side.
If anyone has information on Finley’s whereabouts, they can contact the Caseyville Police Department at 618-344-2151 during business hours and Cencom at 618-825-2681 during after hours.
