Mascoutah Police searching for man they say busted car window and stole purse
On Saturday, Mascoutah Police were searching for a suspect in a car break-in that occurred Tuesday at Scheve Park.
According to police, a man used a window punch to break the window of a car at Scheve Park at about 6:30 p.m. The suspect stole a purse containing debit and credit cards from inside the car, police said in a Facebook post.
Police said the cards were immediately used at local businesses.
Two photos of the suspect at Wal-Mart and the car he was driving were posted on Facebook.
