Madison County twins charged in connection with beating

Twin brothers are facing felony charges after the serious beating of a man at an Alton street party.

Twins Aaron and Adam Hosford, 24, of Wood River, have been charged with felony counts of aggravated battery and mob action for the beating of Johnny Gleason, 43.

According to police, the twins were arguing with a group that included Gleason’s son. When the elder Gleason stepped in, the twins severely beat him, police said.

Gleason remained hospitalized Friday. The suspects have each posted their $100,000 bail and have been released.
