Belleville man defrauded of thousands in home repair scheme, police say
A man has been charged with defrauding a Belleville resident in a home repair scheme in March and April.
Kye H. Kim from Barnhart, Missouri was charged Tuesday with defrauding the man of $23,200.
Kim entered a contract to do repairs on Christopher Poponi’s house in Belleville for $23,200. According to charges, Kim never did and never intended to do the work.
Belleville police were not immediately available for comment on the case.
