O’Fallon police searching for man they say robbed bank inside Schnucks
O’Fallon police are searching for a man they say robbed a 1st National Bank inside a Schnucks grocery store on Thursday afternoon.
Just before 1:30 p.m., police responded to an armed robbery call at the grocery store, 907 E. U.S. 50, a news release said. The suspect implied that he had a weapon and was last seen fleeing on foot northwest from the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a 5-foot-10 black male wearing a short-sleeved black polo, light-colored pants, dark sunglasses and a black and white St. Louis Cardinals ball cap with a white striped flat bill.
Anyone who might have information on the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to contact O’Fallon Police at 618-624-4545. Police warned that the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached if spotted.
