Police investigating armed robbery at Centralia convenience store

Centralia police are investigating an armed robbery at VP Racing Convenience Store that occurred Saturday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., a man walked into the store in the 100 block of South Elm Street with his hand in his pocket, gesturing that he had a gun, police told WJBD Radio. The man allegedly demanded the clerk put the money into a Walmart bag he was holding.

The man fled from the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. According to the report, he was wearing a black hoodie and a bandana.

No one was injured in the incident, the report said.
