Fairview Heights man was upset about cellphone cost, so he pulled a gun, police say

A Fairview Heights man has been charged in connection with a shooting incident at Kings Mart on Oct. 4, according to the Shiloh Police Department.

Aijeigh McShan, 18, was arrested Friday and accused of unlawful use of a weapon, police said in news release. He is being held at the St. Clair County Jail. Bond is $20,000.

Shiloh officers were called to the scene at Kings Mart on Oct. 4 due to a gunshot fired in the parking lot of the business at 1551 Hartman Lane in Shiloh.

Upon arrival, the victim said the suspect became upset at the cost of a cell phone repair and an argument ensued, police said. While departing the business in a vehicle, the suspect fired one gunshot from the vehicle and then fled, the news release states.

An investigation was conducted and a suspect identified. This case was submitted to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s office for review.
