A man in a wheelchair was shot in the leg after an altercation between two men in Alorton Saturday afternoon.

Alorton Police Chief Dave Clark said the victim, an Alorton resident, was doing OK in a St. Louis area hospital.

He said police would not release the victim’s name.

Clark said about 3 p.m. Saturday, two men got into an altercation outside of Pop’s Lounge in the 4600 block of Bond Avenue.

“In the altercation, shots were fired. The suspects who were involved in the altercation fled the area. A male subject in a wheelchair was shot in the right leg,” Clark said.
