Man shot and killed at East St. Louis housing complex
A man was shot and killed in the Orr Weathers Housing complex in the 1400 block of Missouri Avenue in East St. Louis Friday morning.
Robert Burrow, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:23 a.m., said St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.
East St. Louis police and Illinois State police are jointly handling the police investigation.
Police are requesting anyone with information to contact East St. Louis police, Illinois State police, or CrimeStoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS. This anonymous police tip line pays up to $1,000 for information which leads to an arrest.
Burrow’s death is the 20th confirmed or suspected murder in East St. Louis this year.
