Metro-east man charged with sexually abusing child
A 47-year-old man who lives on Scott Air Force Base remains in St. Clair County Jail on Monday in lieu of $500,000 bail after the county state’s attorney charged him with the two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a victim less than 13 years of age.
Cesar L. Aharon, of the 4300 block of Thunderbolt Lane, allegedly committed the assaults against the victim between June 9-15, according to the criminal complaint against him filed Saturday by the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office.
“It was reported to us by the mother of the victim,” said Capt. Scott Weymouth, spokesman for the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Department.
Weymouth declined to state the relationship between Aharon and the victim.
