Six ticketed in Collinsville for selling alcohol to minors

Six people were cited for selling alcohol to minors in Collinsville, according to police.

On Wednesday, Collinsville Police Department conducted alcohol compliance checks at several area retail establishments licensed to sell liquor.

Ticketed were:

▪  Linda K. Johnson, 68, of Troy, at Walgreen’s

▪  Tracey L. Palmer, 51, of Swansea, at MotoMart on North Bluff Street

▪  Jessica J. Gjerswald, 21, of Collinsville, at Bucky’s Express

▪  Jane F. McCallister, 51, of Collinsville, Shop ’n Save on Vandalia Street

▪  Nael Z. Jaouni, 30, of St. Louis, at Eddie’s Meat Market

▪  Rakesh Patel, 44, of Collinsville, Midtowne Liquor

A total of 14 businesses were tested and minors were refused at eight.
