“My heart goes out to the family,” said Washington Park Mayor Leonard Moore, who did not know Hudson.
“This is the holiday season, a time when families are making plans to gather together,” he said.
Moore said he understands what it feels like to lose a loved one around Christmas as he lost his mother a week before Christmas in 2021.
“I had been in office for seven months. I really miss her every day. Some days it is like I am reliving it all over. We are praying for the family,” Moore said.
