Madison County Sheriff’s office releases names of victims in murder-suicide
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the two people who died in apparent murder-suicide over the weekend.
Thomas Teitloff, 88, fatally shot 39-year-old Jessica White prior to killing himself, according to the initial investigation, Capt. Brian Koberna said in a statement Tuesday.
“Teitloff and White both lived at the residence and had lived together for an extended period of time prior to this incident,” stated Koberna, who is the department’s chief of investigations. “The Sheriff’s Office will not be able to comment on potential motive or actions at this time.”
Koberna said Teitloff and White were not related biologically but “they considered themselves like family.”
Madison County sheriff’s deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call Saturday about 3 p.m. at a home in the 1000 block of Bruns Road near Granite City and found Teitloff and White both dead.
