A 35-year-old Belleville man was shot and killed in Cahokia Heights on Saturday.

Marco Orr, whose last known address was on Four Score Drive in Belleville, was pronounced dead at the scene in the 300 block of Isabelle Street at 3:20 a.m., according to St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.

He had multiple gunshot wounds, Dye said.

Cahokia Heights Detective DeMarius Thomas said police received multiple calls about shots fired in the area off Levin Drive and Isabelle Street.

“Upon arrival officers located one male deceased from a gunshot wound and a second man suffering from a gunshot wound,” Thomas said.

The second victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his wounds. Thomas said at last check he was doing fine.

The wounded victim’s identity was not released.

There are no suspects or a motive, at this time, Thomas said.

Orr’s slaying is the ninth homicide this year in Cahokia Heights.
