A 19-year-old man was shot to death early Tuesday in Cahokia Heights.

Trevion J. Brown, whose last known address was in the 300 block of Range Lane, Cahokia Heights, was pronounced dead at the scene on Camp Jackson Road at 1:20 a.m., said St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.

He died from gunshot wounds, Dye said.

Police are looking for the shooter, Cahokia Heights Detective DeMarius Thomas said.

He said police were notified about the shooting at 12:39 a.m. “When officers arrived on scene they observed one subject with bullet wounds,” Thomas said. “The victim succumbed to his injuries.

“At this time, we do not know the motive for the shooting.”

Thomas said police “ need the public’s help to solve this case quickly.”

He urges anyone with information to call the Cahokia Heights Police Department at 618-332-1184.
