The second of three men charged in a Washington County homicide has been ordered to serve decades in prison for the killing of an East St. Louis man.

Arrion T. Sanders, 46, of East St. Louis was given a 30-year sentence last week after jurors in June found him guilty of second-degree murder in the death of 44-year-old Montez Pearson of East St. Louis, according to court records.

Charging documents state Pearson suffered a shotgun blast to his head. His body was found on July 19, 2023, west of Nashville in the area of Lunte Creek Road, according to an Illinois State Police news release.

Along with Sanders, two Belleville men were charged in the case.

Kevin Loucks, 45, was given a 40-year prison sentence in March for first-degree murder while a mental fitness hearing is scheduled for Oct. 1 for Milton Robinson, 58, according to court records.

Sanders and Loucks were being held in Menard Correctional Center Friday while Robinson was in the Washington County Jail in connection with his murder charge.
