Teen shot multiple times at Shiloh gas station, police say
A 16-year-old boy was shot multiple times at a Shiloh gas station Friday night, according to a news release from the Shiloh Police Department.
The police responded to the King’s Mart at 1551 Hartman Lane at about 7:43 p.m. for a shooting that had occurred in the parking lot, the release says.
After being shot, the teen exited the vehicle he was a passenger in, walked into the gas station and collapsed.
Emergency medical services took him to an area hospital, where he is being treated for injuries that do not appear life threatening, according to the release.
The police have one person in custody who is not the shooter but had prior knowledge of the “planned assault.” Police continue to investigate and are looking for the suspect vehicle, a “dark gray Kia with heavy window tint,” the release says.
“This incident was not a random act,” the release said.
