Belleville police looking for masked thieves they say robbed AT&T store
Police are looking for three masked robbers, believed to be teenagers, who robbed the AT&T store at Belleville Crossing shopping center Monday.
Belleville Assistant Chief of Police, Lt. Col. Mark Heffernan, said officers were dispatched to the 5800 block of Belleville Crossing at 7:11 p.m. to investigate the reported robbery.
He said witnesses told police the suspects entered the business, inferred they were armed and demanded iPhones. They did not show any weapons, Heffernan said.
“Staff complied with the request,” he said.
There were no injuries.
The robbers were described by witnesses as “ three Black males wearing dark clothing, gloves and masks,” Heffernan said.
“The suspects believed to be teenagers or on their early 20s or 30s. They took several iPhones from the store and fled the scene on foot”, Heffernan said.
Police are asking anyone with any information about this incident to contact Belleville police or CrimeStoppers at 1 (866) 371-TIPS (8477).
