Man shot multiple times Friday in Cahokia

A man was shot multiple times in Cahokia early Friday morning.

The attack happened at about 1:45 a.m. near the intersection of Range Lane and Mildred Avenue, which is about a block away from Cahokia High School.

The victim was conscious at the time he was placed into an ambulance and rushed to an area hospital, according to police reports.

No details of the shooting or the suspect were immediately released by police. Cahokia police were asking that anyone with information about the attack call them at 618-337-9501.
