Illinois State Police cites St. Clair Co. businesses for serving alcohol to minors

The Illinois State Police Zone 6 released the names of 13 St. Clair County restaurants and businesses that are suspected of selling alcohol to minors in June.

This Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement surveillance project, funded by the Illinois Department of Transportation, looked into 139 businesses, an ISP spokesperson told the BND.

“The ultimate goals are to enforce underage drinking laws and save lives by preventing impaired driving crashes and fatalities,” a news release stated.

Here are the 13 businesses ISP said were involved in selling alcohol to minors:

  • Skootr’s Restaurant and Bar - 323 E. Main St., Mascoutah
  • Camino Real - 9 W. Main St., Mascoutah
  • The Vault - 28 E. Main St., Mascoutah
  • Green Mount Moto Mart - 1790 Frank Scott Parkway, Shiloh
  • Zapata’s Mexican Restaurant - 4660 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights
  • Crafty Crab - 51 Ludwig Dr., Fairview Heights
  • Sav-On Liquor and Wine - 10040 Lincoln Trail, Fairview Heights
  • Denny Ray’s - 600 E. Lyons St., Marissa
  • Jackpots New Athens - 825 New Baldwin Rd. Suite B, New Athens
  • Machete Mexican Cuisine and Bar - 1215 Spotsylvania St., New Athens
  • New Athens Minimart - 511 S. Clinton St., New Athens
  • Smitties Drinks - 461 Market Place Dr., Freeburg
  • Tequila Mexican Restaurant - 341 Market Place Dr., Freeburg
