Body found in St. Clair County park
Police discovered the body of a deceased man at Frank Holten State Park Wednesday morning.
Details about how or when the man might have died have not been released by investigators. The victim’s identity has not been released, pending notification of family, said St. Clair County Coroner Calvin Dye Sr.
Illinois State Police’s Division of Criminal Investigations, Zone 6, is leading the investigation. Cahokia Heights Police requested the assistance after officers found the body at about 10:21 a.m.
The investigation is in the early stages and no further information is available, the release stated.
