One killed, one arrested in metro-east bar shooting, police say
Granite Police have arrested one suspect in connection with a fatal shooting at a bar early Saturday.
Neither the name of the victim nor the suspect has been released.
Granite City Police officers were dispatched at 1:49 a.m. to Patrick’s Bar & Grill at 2900 Nameoki Road, according to a news release from Maj. Charles Bremer.
“Officers determined that there was a disturbance at that location during which a gun was fired, striking the victim,” the release states. “A suspect in this incident has been taken into custody by police and there is no ongoing threat to the public.”
No other details about the shooting were released.

Granite City investigators have received assistance from Illinois State Police, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and the Madison County Coroner’s Office.
