Major Case Squad activated in fatal metro-east shooting
The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis has been activated to investigate the fatal shooting of a man who was fatally shot in Cahokia Heights Friday.
According to a press release, Cahokia Heights police officers were dispatched at 9:11 p.m. to the 3900 block of Walnut St., where they found the 67-year-old man with apparent gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
