Edwardsville shops cited again for selling booze to minors
EDWARDSVILLE Two Edwardsville businesses previously cited by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission for selling alcohol to minors earned additional citations Wednesday for doing it again, according to investigators.
Edwardsville Police and the ILCC announced Thursday that the Circle K at 629 W. Schwarz Road and the Edwardsville Market at 332 S. Buchanan St. failed the compliance check by selling alcohol to an underage minor working undercover for the police.
Sixteen other businesses in the city, including seven that had previous citations, passed their compliance checks.
