Missouri man is victim in fatal shooting outside Brooklyn club
A Berkeley Missouri man was fatally shot at the Bottoms Up Strip Club in Brooklyn just before 3 a.m. Sunday.
The victim was identified by police as Salahudin Malik Robbins, 29, of Berkely, Mo., Illinois State Police Sgt. Chris Hoffstot said. Police had no motive for the murder and are continuing to interview people who were at the club.
“When the officers arrived, they located the body of a black male, 29-years-of age, in the parking lot of the Bottoms Up Strip Club,” Hoffstot said. That individual was later identified as Robbins, he said.
He said Brooklyn police received a call at 3 a.m reporting shots fired and a man down at the club, at 307 Jefferson, in Brooklyn. The caller also said at least four people were shot.
Hoffstot said two additional people were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Their medical conditions were not immediately available.
“We’re review surveillance footage from the area and interviewing witnesses as we attempt to locate possible suspects,” Hoffstot said.
Hoffstot said there was a crowd of people at the crime scene and police hope someone will come forward with information.
