A Collinsville woman faces four charges spread across two counties in connection with her August arrest for alleged drug possession.

According to Caseyville Police Department reports, Angela R. Padgett was pulled over at just after 3 a.m. on Aug. 11 at Parkdale Drive and Bermuda Avenue.

Officers said Padgett, 48, of the 3200 block of VFW Lane, was in possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine at the time of the traffic stop.

The case was presented to the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office for review. On Monday a warrant for Padgett’s arrest was issued on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony.

On Tuesday, Caseyville police went to Padgett’s home to arrest her. According to police reports, she slammed her door on one officer’s arm causing a minor injury and further resisted arrest inside.

After Padgett was taken into custody, police say they found drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and cocaine in her home.

On Wednesday, Madison County authorities charged Padgett with possession of methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony, possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 felony, and aggravated battery, a Class 2 felony.

Padgett was taken to the St. Clair County Jail where her bail was set at $35,000. Her bail in connection with the Madison County charges was set at $60,000.
