East Carondelet man is charged in child porn case
An East Carondelet man faces five child pornography charges stemming from online activity that allegedly occurred in 2013 and 2014.
Richard Lee Doerr, 28, remains in custody without bond.
Court papers say Doerr allegedly distributed four files containing child pornography in December 2013, received seven files containing child pornography in July, August and September 2014, and possessed several files containing child pornography in October 2014.
Sending or receiving child pornography is punishable by between five and 20 years in prison, followed by parole of between five years and life. Possessing child pornography is punishable by up to 20 years in prison plus an identical parole period.
Doerr’s trial will begin April 4.
