Two Washington Park women have been arrested in connection with the death of a toddler.

Tiara Johnson, 24, was charged with one count of first-degree murder and was being held Friday in the St. Clair County Jail on $1.5 million bail, according to county court records. Dyamond Honore, 20, was charged with aggravated battery of a child and was jailed on $200,000 bail.

Honore is the mother of the 3-year-old child who was found dead Tuesday afternoon. Johnson is described as Honore’s live-in girlfriend.

Police said the suspects called police and reported that the child fell down stairs in their home.

But officers questioned their story and questioned how long the child had been deceased before police were called.
